Planning information stored in your browser
When you edit the itinerary, equipment checklist or budget, our JavaScript uses localStorage under the key buddysummitwimb-planning-v1. Stored information can include trip descriptions, task assignees, expense labels and agreed contribution amounts. The site’s planning code does not transmit these entries to us, create an account or synchronize them across devices.
Local storage has no automatic expiry in this implementation. It remains until you clear it, your browser removes it or browser settings prevent it from being kept. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to view it. It is not encrypted by this application. Avoid storing sensitive information or using persistent tools on a shared device.
Emergency and message templates
Our scripts do not automatically put emergency-template or contact-draft fields into localStorage or sessionStorage. They are processed in the current page to generate text. Browser autofill, session restoration, operating-system features or extensions may retain information independently of our code. Leaving a page is not a guarantee that every device-level copy has been erased.
Copying uses the Clipboard API when available and permitted. Downloading creates a plain-text file on your device. These copies are controlled by you and may be accessible through clipboard history, backups, synced folders or other applications. Review and remove them as appropriate. Generating a brief does not send it to another person.
Information sent by email
If you separately email us, we receive the content, your email address and associated message metadata through email services. We use correspondence to respond, investigate a reported issue, maintain the site and handle relevant legal or security matters. Please share only information necessary for that purpose. We do not need private information about other participants to understand a template issue.
Correspondence may be retained while the enquiry is being handled and for a reasonable period needed for follow-up, security or legal obligations. We do not promise a fixed deletion date that would ignore those circumstances. Where data-protection law applies, processing may rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, responding to requests, or applicable legal obligations.
Technical requests and external links
Serving web pages requires technical information such as an IP address, requested file and browser request details to reach the hosting infrastructure. Hosting providers may process logs for delivery, reliability and security under their own arrangements. This website’s supplied scripts contain no analytics, advertising pixels, geolocation collection or third-party tracking libraries.
Following an external link or sending email involves a separate service with its own privacy practices. Our pages do not embed third-party maps, remote fonts or social widgets. See Cookies for browser-storage details.
Deletion and your choices
Use “Clear saved planning data” in the group brief tool to remove this application’s saved planning key. You can also clear site data through your browser settings. Other open tabs may still contain values in memory and could save them again if edited; close them when clearing shared-device information. Delete your own downloads and clipboard copies separately.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information held about you, object to certain processing, request portability, or complain to a relevant supervisory authority. Contact us about correspondence we hold. We cannot retrieve local planning entries that were never sent to us.
Changes to this notice
We may update this page if site features or information-handling practices change. Review it before entering personal information, and obtain permission before including another person’s details in a shared document.
